# bitHuman in ChatGPT and Claude

> What the bitHuman connector for ChatGPT and Claude stores, and for how long.

The bitHuman connector lets ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients show bitHuman's AI characters
speaking. You add it with the address `https://mcp.bithuman.ai/mcp`. You don't need a bitHuman account to use it. This page says what the
connector does with your data. The [bitHuman Privacy Policy](https://www.bithuman.ai/legal/privacy) and

## What the connector does

| `make_character_video` | Makes a short video of one character saying the words your assistant sends (3 to 200 characters), in that character's AI voice. The clip plays in the chat. |

Your assistant (ChatGPT, Claude or another client) writes the words. The connector calls no AI
model to write or change them. It only voices and animates them.

## AI characters and AI voices

- Every character is an AI character, not a real person, and speaks in an AI voice.
- Every clip is labelled as AI-generated in the player.
- The connector only speaks as bitHuman's own characters. It cannot make a video of a real person or of
  your own avatar.

## What is sent to other companies

- **Cartesia** receives the words of each new clip, to speak them in the character's voice. Cartesia's
  own terms and privacy policy apply to that text.
- No other company receives the words. bitHuman renders every clip on its own computers.

## What we store, and for how long

Server logs carry the tool, the app and the result. They never carry the words, the hashed id or your IP
address, and are deleted as they rotate out, usually within a few days. We do not sell this data.

The connector sets no cookies. It receives no account, name, email address, chat history, memory or file
from ChatGPT or Claude.

## Live conversations

`talk_to_character` opens bitHuman's live demo player in the chat. That conversation runs on bitHuman's
servers: your speech is turned into text, an AI model writes the character's answers and an AI voice speaks
them, for about a minute. Service providers that bitHuman uses for speech-to-text, the AI model and the voice
process the conversation to do this. bitHuman does not use it to train models. The live demo uses your IP
address, as a daily hashed value, for its limits. The

## Delete your data

The connector stores no words and no id that can identify you on their own. Clips are deleted after 7 days.

The connector follows the age rules of the app you use it in. It is not for anyone under 13.
